Thankful for blogging

Before I wrote, pen to paper.
Silent alone.
The voices in my head the only audience I sought.

Their remarks grow trite. Soured by past memories.

Today I post,

Watching for approval for that perfect sentence,
clicking comparison,
and purring prose.

The comments come, and the voices
are rested.

  6. Ladies you are all so kind! I love poetry. It is great practice for letting the reader infer. I struggle with that in my writing, but find it easier after a poetry binge.
